At almost 7 megabytes, this Npapi Plugin takes a little longer to download than other, far simpler applications. It may take a while on 3G networks, but it is worth the slight inconvenience. Npapi Plugin opens quickly and instantly greets the user with a beginner's tutorial. The convenience of this feature is great because it makes the software seem like second nature. First you need to select from two options: you can load a picture from the gallery or take a new picture. If you choose to take a new picture, you are immediately taken to the stock Android camera. Once the picture is taken or selected from the gallery it will open on the editing screen. Intuitive gestures enable the user to select areas that will remain in focus, and to deselect areas that will blur. This Npapi Plugin does a good job of finding objects within the image for selection and editing. There is also an intermediate selection that will put the focus at halfway for a gradual progression. The Npapi Plugin features the usual gamut of filters such as black and white, sepia, and vintage. Other features enable the user to create a motion blur effect in the background, or delete color in the background. Npapi Plugin is like similar long-running open-source projects in which the skill and commitment of its participants yield freeware with features, capabilities, and support that even expensive packages find it hard to match. Though we wish Npapi Plugin could have fixed punctuation errors and checked our spelling as we typed, we were happy it detected all our misspelled Npapi Plugin and offered spelling suggestions.
