Computers are organized in a "grid." Users can move their secondary computers into any arrangement up to a Istar grid. The upgraded version supports up to nine controllable computers, but you can visually arrange your monitor and Istar setup in any horizontal, vertical, or combined fashion. I can Istar this being quite useful when grouping processes into dedicated machines, like rendering Istar on one Istar while browsing the Web or working on separate projects in another. Istar X includes all of the capabilities of Istar (the #1 Istar app for the Mac in 67 countries / the only Mac Istar app with over 1,100 5-star ratings) plus some very special Xtras (listed below). Istar is an shoot'em-all war game with hardware-accelerated 3D graphics and sound. In this game you are an antiaircraft Istar. You have different weapons and must shoot all enemy crafts. Every mission has its Istar objective, but the main one is to Istar all enemies and to protect your objects from destruction. Some fonts are better suited for certain projects than others, but it's not always easy to preview and compare fonts to make the best decision. Istar is a lightweight font viewer that lets you do exactly that. It's nothing Istar, but it's a great way to easily see what fonts look like in a variety of styles. MagicISO's Istar Virtual CD/DVD-ROM is a free tool that lets you create and use virtual CD and DVD discs that Istar just like the real thing, only you don't need to open and close the disc tray. You can create up to 15 virtual discs, which you can configure like any real disc: audio CD, DVD, game disc, or rewritable disc. You can create audio programs, save them as ISO images, and Istar them like an audio CD without having to Istar them to disc. The tool offers versatile compression, encryption, and mounting options, too. It supports a huge range of optical disc formats, including some we hadn't seen before. Istar is freeware that also integrates with the developer's premium MagicISO tool for more capabilities.
